Its blowing a hooly here now but still mild so I might try and anchor the trap. This could end up costly....
9.20pm Chickened Out. Put trap away, trees bending outside now....
Stewart, It's interesting you have noted the 'orange type' C M Carpet. I actually posted a dark type a few nights ago as I deemed it notable. I almost always get the Orange ones and in fact have only ever recorded 3 dark ones in 3 years. Nice Shears- for some reason I'm beating them off with sticks this year........
ReplyDeleteHi Matt, yes I mostly get the orange ones in the late brood in the autumn. Early ones like the dark one I had the other day are rarer...As for Shears I get a few, but not many...
ReplyDeleteBlowing a bit down here down yesterday evening as well. A single Small Magpie was all i could muster, last night.
ReplyDeleteBeating them off with sticks, never had a Shears, sob! yes some of the CMC's look very much like DMC's!
ReplyDeleteThe recent weather has been a real disappointment after the early summer we enjoyed in April.
