I cant leave this post without mentioning that Puss Moth. I was very envious of others who catch them and rightly so, what a belter! This one is a male, and was sitting in long grass near the trap, while a Great Tit decapitated the Buff Tip...Oh how things could have been different....

  1. Yeah, i can just imagine what you`d be saying if that Great Tit had gone for the Puss Moth and left you with only the wings.

  3. You have felt as sick as someone I know who inadvertently trod on a trap-side Goat Moth .....

  4. Well done Stewart! Puss moths have a habit of settling on the floor....I've so far ran one over on my bike and this year I trod on one outside my back door- I'll have to get rid of my White patio slabs!
