  1. Your 'what on earth' looks very similar to a moth I had a couple of days ago, which I have tentatively identified as one of the Eucosma hohenwartiana group...

  2. Hi David, I did consider hohenwartiana, but that species doesn't have the brown half moon in the apex of the wing? I have caught hohenwartiana and it seemed more sandy coloured...

  3. That's what's been troubling me with my example and what led me to the conclusion that it's not quite right for E.h but could well be one of the complex of species that has only recently been separated, only gen det will tell for sure.
