Out field...Damses Wood.

Trapping from 8.30pm - midnight under tall oak canopy with John, Nigel (Abbey Meadows blog) and Ian.
We used 125w MV Robinson,160w black Skinner and a 15w actinic skinner.
Noteworthy were 17 Buff Footman, a good record seeing as there are only 23 records previously.

  1. The pug is obviously a... er, it's...mmm (note to self, stop looking away from pugs and start to try and identify them again. Have any Cydia amplana got up to the north-east Stewart?

  2. Hi Stewart, Could the pug be Triple-spotted? You'll need to gen det though. We found a colony in Chicksands Wood, VC30 at around the same time of year.

  3. Steve - No, the furthest north amplana in the UK was at Tom Tams ( our recorder) garden in Tynemouth, about 40 miles south of me.

Matt - Thanks. I've had Triple spotted Pug in the garden. It seems a different shape to this one. I sent a the pics to our recorder who believes it is Golden Rod Pug. Cheers again.
