December Moths in profusion...
Although it was a mild 10 degrees last night, each night sees the number of moths dwindling. I hope I can get to the end of the Garden Moth Survey on 5th November without any blanks. My last blank session was right at the beginning of March...

Hi Stewart, the December moths are great little creatures. I'll try to catch one myself this weekend.
ReplyDeleteMore December Moths in that one catch than I've ever had in the garden (four individuals, all back in 2000/2001). In fairness this is mainly due to me being completely lame with late-season mothing - usually pack up by end October though I'll try and get some recording in this year.
